Sell It With Sizzle
Five Tips to Tasty Technology Programs

The founder of Ruth Chris Steakhouses created an empire from the old saying, "I learned decades ago that to sell a steak you’ve got to "sell the sizzle." Libraries have a lot of steak and technology programs are the opportunity to sizzle.  In short, librarians are the front line salespeople for a fantastic product line.

Take time to make friends and influence people by selling ideas while teaching resources. Focus on program planning, audience development, mining failure and finding unique selling points to reach your community. Walk away with at least one positive, beneficial technology programming idea perfect for your library.
